Wiring repair and replacement.

From a single damaged circuit to rewiring an entire home, we replace old, unsafe, or overloaded wiring with clean, code-compliant work built to last.

Wiring repair and replacement by Peak Property Electric

Wiring is the one part of your electrical system you never see, which is exactly why bad wiring goes unnoticed until it fails. Cloth-insulated wiring, aluminum branch wiring, brittle old runs, and rodent or water damage all quietly become fire hazards. Peak Property Electric repairs damaged circuits and rewires homes across the North Shore, cleanly and to code.

The wiring you can't see is the wiring most worth checking.

When wiring needs attention

From one circuit to the whole house

Not every home needs a full rewire, and we will never tell you it does when it doesn't. Often the fix is replacing a few compromised runs and adding the dedicated circuits a modern home needs. When a full rewire is the right call, we plan it around your life, work in stages where we can, pull the proper permits, and leave the walls and your home in good shape. Larger jobs often pair with a panel upgrade.

Questions

What homeowners ask us

How do I know if my house needs rewiring?
Warning signs include cloth or knob-and-tube wiring, a persistent burning smell, frequent tripping, warm outlets, and two-prong outlets throughout. An inspection tells us whether you need a few repairs or a larger rewire.
Is aluminum wiring dangerous?
Aluminum branch wiring from the 60s and 70s is prone to loosening and overheating at connections. It can often be made safe with proper corrective connectors rather than a full rewire. We'll assess and recommend honestly.
Will rewiring tear my house apart?
We work as cleanly as possible, fishing wire through existing cavities and minimizing open walls. We'll walk you through what to expect before we start so there are no surprises.
