Outlet repair and replacement.

A loose, warm, scorched, or dead outlet is worth taking seriously. We repair and replace receptacles, add GFCI and USB outlets, and bring old two-prong outlets up to a safe, grounded standard.

Outlets get used thousands of times and quietly wear out. The contacts loosen, plugs fall out, and the connection heats up, which is exactly how an outlet starts a fire behind the wall. Peak Property Electric replaces failing receptacles, upgrades outdated ones, and adds new outlets where you actually need them, all to current code.

Outlet work we do

A warm or discolored outlet isn't normal. It's a warning worth a phone call.

Grounding and GFCI matter

A two-prong, ungrounded outlet gives sensitive electronics nowhere to send a fault, and an outlet near water without GFCI protection can be deadly. We can add grounding, GFCI, and tamper-resistant protection so the outlets in your home actually protect the people using them. Ask us about childproof outlets if you have little ones.

Questions

What homeowners ask us

Why is my outlet warm to the touch?
A warm outlet usually means a loose or failing connection that's heating up under load, which is a genuine fire risk. Stop using it and have it replaced. We can usually swap it same-week.
Can you convert my two-prong outlets to three-prong?
Yes. The right fix is to provide a proper ground, either by grounding the outlet or protecting it with a GFCI where a ground isn't available. We'll do it to code, not just swap the cover.
Do you install USB and tamper-resistant outlets?
Absolutely. USB and USB-C outlets are a popular upgrade, and tamper-resistant receptacles are required by code in living spaces to protect kids.
