Charging at home is the whole reason an EV feels effortless, you plug in at night and wake up full. Peak Property Electric installs Level 2 and Tesla-compatible chargers for homeowners across Skokie and the North Shore, and we handle the part most homeowners can't: making sure your electrical system can actually carry the load, safely and to code.

Wake up to a full battery. We handle the panel, the circuit, the permit, and the cleanup.

What a proper EV charger install includes

A charger on the wall is the easy part. Done right, the job also covers everything behind it:

Do you need a panel upgrade first?

Sometimes. If your home still has a 100-amp panel or it's already full, adding a 48-amp charging circuit may push it past capacity. We'll tell you honestly whether your existing service is enough or whether an upgrade makes sense, and if it does, we do that work too. See our panel upgrade page.

Tesla, Rivian, Ford, and every other brand

We install the Tesla Wall Connector as well as universal J1772 and NACS chargers from ChargePoint, Wallbox, Emporia, and others. Already have the unit? We'll mount and wire it. Need a recommendation? We'll help you choose.

Serving EV owners across the North Shore

We install home chargers throughout Skokie, Evanston, Wilmette, Glenview, Northbrook, Highland Park, and the surrounding communities, garages, carports, and driveways alike.

Questions

What homeowners ask us

How much does it cost to install a Level 2 EV charger?
Most home installs depend on the distance from your panel to the charger, whether a panel upgrade is needed, and your charger model. We give a clear, itemized quote up front, no surprises.
Can you install a Tesla Wall Connector?
Yes. We install the Tesla Wall Connector and Tesla-compatible NACS chargers, plus universal J1772 units for every other EV brand.
Do I need a permit to install an EV charger?
Yes, a hardwired 240V charging circuit requires a permit in our area. We pull it and schedule the inspection as part of the job.
Will my current electrical panel handle a charger?
Often yes, but not always. We run a load calculation first. If your panel is full or undersized, we'll walk you through a panel upgrade before installing.
